At Gray's Mountain Feist we take the utmost pride in offering well-bred & healthy dogs to you so can build your own family tradition on a strong foundation. We truly cherish our dogs & know you'll be happy with them too! We've been improving this line of dogs since 2005 & our breeding practices have resulted in solid hunting dogs with strong conformation & a balanced temperament. Our high, self-imposed, standards and sound breeding/training practices are what sets us apart from other programs out there today. Marc & Jess know what a good squirrel dog is and objectively evaluate stock on multiple factors necessary to ensure success in the field. There are dogs being hunted now that represent the 7th & 8th generation since our hunting program started. We use recognized linebreeding practices to concentrate genes we want while simultaneously identifying and eliminating undesirable traits. Periodically we make outcrosses to other lines of feist to enhance a trait we like & increase genetic diversity. The resulting off-spring are bred back to the Gray line to keep the family of dogs going. The result of hunting hard & being students of genetics means our dogs have gotten more consistent over time. Every year, we hunt in multiple states which gives us plenty of opportunities to keep our dogs in shape & at the top of their game! In addition to offering pups & started dogs for sale, we also have Gray's Buckshot at stud. Contact for details!!!
Accepting a limited number of deposits for pups expected Summer 2019. We plan to make a strong outcross to SQCH Andy's Chester. Gray's Bandit Rose is the planned dam. More details are on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/grayfeist/posts/2021225681233278 Contact to get on the waiting list.
Gray's Mountain Feist pups are bred to make hunting dogs. They represent high quality stock that has been selected for desirable traits for generations. Each comes with National Kennel Club puppy registration, first shots & dewormed regularly. Eligible for registration in the different hunt clubs, breed associations and all-breed registries.
Puppies get the benefits of being raised in a family environment & handled often by our children. They stay with their mother until weaned naturally on their own. This is important to learn cues from the dam on how to be a well-behaved dog.
Hunters in more than 20 states are satisfied with their Gray's Feist pup!!!
